Pair arrested after teen injured in Chesterfield's Queen's Park

Two teenagers have been arrested after a 17-year-old was found injured in Queen’s Park in Chesterfield yesterday.

Officers were called to the park at 4.25pm and found the injured youth.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old, both from Chesterfield, were arrested later in the evening on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Amid allegations of a stabbing, a Derbyshire police spokesman said: "We cannot confirm this for investigative reasons."
