Paddy the South Yorkshire firefighter rescues Paddy the dog
A firefighter rescued a terrified dog trapped behind a culvert grate in Doncaster.
Gerard O'Neil, known by family and friends as Paddy, released the dog from behind the metal grate and discovered that the black labrador was also named Paddy.
Firefighters were called out to help the pet dog after he got trapped on Jenkinson Grove, Armthorpe, Doncaster, on Wednesday afternoon.
The dog was unharmed.
