A DOG owner from Rotherham enjoyed success at this year’s Crufts.

Tony Wade, aged 51, of Rawmarsh, saw his German Shepherd Julanti Alayna, also known as Rhea, win best in her class at the contest.

The black and tan two-year-old, who came third as a puppy last year, took home a red rosette after coming top in the Yearling category.

Mr Wade said: “I am very delighted because she is home-bred.”
