A ticket for Sheffield Wednesday's play-off final has "sold" - for a whopping £66,000.

The ticket for Saturday's Premiership decider against Hull City at Wembley has reportedly been snapped up for £65,900 on internet buying and selling site eBay.

Nearly 70 bids were received for the ticket which was advertised by the seller as an adult ticket listed as "category 5, block 532."

Bids for the ticket started at £100 and rapidly rose until the auction ended just before 9pm last night with the winning bid of nearly £66,000.

The seller, listed as "stejl1", is based in Windermere in the Lake District - and asks for £8 for postage for the ticket.

The seller has no other items for sale - and it is not clear whether the buyer will actually have to fork out for the ticket.

Wednesday take on Hull in the Championship play-off final on Saturday with the winner securing a spot in the Premiership next season.
