Hayley Kalinins, aged 35, who is suffering from secondary breast cancer, with tumours in her breast and lungs, raised nearly £100,000 in four months when she set up an online fundraising page earlier this year.

Now, with the cash all spent, Hayley has issued a new appeal for help in paying for immunotherapy in a German clinic.

And she revealed a recent scan showed a reduction in the size of her tumours.

She said after just nine weeks of treatment, medics have described her as ‘going into partial remission’.

Weeping on the video, as she describes her joy at the ‘positive response’ to the treatment, grateful Hayley thanks all those who have already donated.

But she stresses that the fundraising battle continues, with her treatment plan expected to cost £250,000 in total.

The mum-of-four, whose husband is tasked with keeping Sheffield Wednesday players fit, has received immunotherapy treatment, which is designed to boost the body’s natural defences to fight cancer.

Hayley has already undergone 79 rounds of chemotherapy in the UK in her fight for survival.

She said: “I’ll be heading back to Germany in three weeks, assuming we can raise the funds for a further blast of treatment.

“The past few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind.

“Getting the positive news of my scan results feels like I’ve had a huge boulder lifted off my shoulders.

“There is still some way to go but at least I know I’m heading in the right direction.”

Issuing an emotional plea for more help from online donors, Hayley said: “We really need your help.

“We have spent £100,000 on this treatment so far, which is an incredible amount of money but nobody could put a price on my life.

“To get this response and to have more time with the children...I’m so grateful to everybody that has donated.

“It’s a really, really emotional day for me.

“I’ve been battling with breast cancer for five years and I have had 79 rounds of chemotherapy.

“Now we have the huge task of fundraising and continuing with this treatment plan. Over the forthcoming years this money will need to be raised to keep me alive and to keep my body heading for cancer free.”
