Following on from a sold-out evening at the University of Sheffield Students Union last October, 31-year-old Owen will be in the city again on February 29 as part of the city’s Off The Shelf festival. An evening with Owen, entitled ‘Owen Jones: The Politics of Hope’ will be held at the Octagon Centre at 8pm.

Owen, who was named Young Writer of the Year at the Political Book Awards in 2013, will talk about his writing and work, his passionate views on political and economic injustice and his belief in solidarity and vision for the future, the themes which have led to him being hailed as the Orwell of his generation.
