Outrage for Sheffield customers as Wetherspoon axe popular dishes from menu

The cheap pints, funky carpets and good atmosphere are synonymous with the chain pub.

But, so are the fan favourites on its menu.

Head down to the Bankers Draft, the Francis Newton or the Benjamin Huntsman and you'll usually find customers enjoying a nice meal (as well as a few drinks).

However, it has emerged that the restaurants are having a menu shake-up with some popular dishes set for the chop.

These are the dishes set to disappear from the menu:

- 8oz rump steak

- New York deli burger

- Tandoori chicken

- Ice cream sundae

- Half-roast chicken

- All cheesecakes

- All hotdogs

A spokesperson told the Mirror: "Wetherspoon serves a wide range of meals to suit all tastes and we are always keen to evolve our offer.

“We will be taking some meals off our menu and replacing them with new dishes when our new menu launches.”

The new menu was launched yesterday and includes a Drive-thru gourmet beef burger which will be served as part of a meal deal.
