A tree planting session is planned, to make use of the school grounds and create habitats for wildlife to settle in the future.

All 400 pupils will get involved in the planting, as part of the creation of a much bigger scheme, involving parents, governors, friends of the school and staff.

Assistant head Jennifer Philbin said: “This is only part of our aim to create an amazing outdoor learning environment. We also have plans to build an outdoor laboratory.”
