Fire starts in kitchen

A WOMAN aged 98 was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in her kitchen on Channing Gardens, Walkley. The woman was alerted to the fire by her smoke alarm at 10am yesterday.

Death biker named

A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a collision with a car on Prince of Wales Road, Manor Top, Sheffield, has been named as 24-year-old Alan Lee Williams, from Dore. He died on Sunday. A 31-year-old man from Sheffield arrested in connection with the collision has been bailed pending further inquiries.

SCooter found on fire

A SCOOTER found burning under a subway on Greasbrough Road, Rotherham, had been set alight deliberately. Firefighters tackled the blaze at 1.45am yesterday.
