Use the green cross code

The times I’ve seen pedestrians just walk out into traffic without looking, then after a near miss the look they give drivers, as though to say, “What’s up pal, you should have seen me”.

I’m not saying this is what happened to Summer and Jake. You have to keep your eyes on traffic when crossing any road and I don’t think putting a crossing there will cure anything; people will still dash out into traffic.

The students seem to be the worst offenders, especially those from China or Hong Kong.

I ask all people whatever your age, watch just where you are walking, take out the earphones when crossing the road, think about the loss of your own life, the sorrow you are giving your families.
