'Speed humps are not fit for purpose' - Reader's letter
Ted Fower discusses speed humps...
If the council ever do decide to repair all the roads in Sheffield again then first job should be to take out these stupid road humps.

They are not fit for purpose and all they do is contribute to to road damage along with damaging motorists’ suspension.
When they first devised these I don’t think they thought it through.
They called them sleeping policemen and were supposed to deter joyriders.
Well these have had an adverse effect.
Here’s where the plan breaks down - they don’t deter joyriders because it isn’t their car. They’re stolen, making it all the more fun.
They just are not fit for purpose.
