Privileged tax break

I FAIL to understand why it has suddenly become morally acceptable for someone, probably already from a privileged background, to inherit £1 million free of tax for doing nothing, while someone on the average wage - who would need to work for over 40 years to earn such an amount -does have to pay tax.
