Parents don't care what kids are doing

I wholeheartedly agree with the letter from Karen Marie Aldred ( September 1): parents are to blame for the majority of kids running riot around our streets today.

How can any responsible parent sit at home and not be concerned where their kids are until all hours of the night? I work in the city centre and I take notice of who is around at night time.

Usually on a Sunday evening the centre is quiet, but on the Sunday before the recent bank holiday, the High Street area was quite busy.

The majority of people around were kids, aged between 10 and 15 years old. And this was around midnight.

What is happening? Do the parents care? If anyone can justify kids being in the city centre at this time of the night, please explain it to me.
