Not a very pretty sight

I just wonder where this country’s aims are? We heard today that Dame Sally Davis thinks that being fat is the most important problem that the NHS faces.

Obesity, if you look around in the Sheffield city centre, is rife, particularly among the female population. It seems that no matter how overweight you are, in this day and age, it matters not a jot.

You only have to watch some of these cooking programmes. I refer in particular to James Martin, his menus are loaded with butter, sugar and cream.

Now I’m overweight, but at 68 years old and with my current lifestyle I should last a few more years.

I fear that some of these huge people will never reach my age.

Why do we promote these calorie-loaded shows if it’s only to bolster their overpriced supermarket sponsors.

Humbug.
