Could I ask all road users to be aware of pedestrians walking in the side of the road to observe social distancing?

This could be as a result of a narrow pavement, or other pedestrians not observing the rules.

This is highly prevalent in the area around Hillsborough Corner.

I would ask the police to spend a little time walking around the streets, from two metres of course, and advising pedestrians who are not conforming to the social distancing rules.

Cars seem to be travelling much faster now that there are fewer vehicles on the road.

And sometimes there is nowhere else apart from the road for a pedestrian to go when confronted with a social distancing issue.
