Why Black Lives Matter movement should be a catalyst for positive change - letter

Thank you to the Star for Saturday’s refreshing take on Black Lives Matter.

It was humbling to read the experiences of Errol Edwards and Dave Allen, enriched with army veteran medic Joshua Ryan’s story.

The local history of Sheffield’s community gave an excellent context.

It’s time for us all to reflect on how other human beings – including our family, friends and neighbours – have been and continue to be so cruelly treated.

Let’s hope this movement is a catalyst for positive change in society.
