Self-service is not for me

I am so disappointed that whenever I go in Sainsbury’s on the Moor there are no manned tills open.

I do not feel I should have to go to the tobacco counter, where one is allowed only five items or to go to the self-service tills where I am told by the assistant she cannot do it for me.

I want to go to a manned till, to pass the time of day with the sales assistant and to be able to pack my purchases as they come through.

I do not have to fumble for my reading glasses, stash the other ones away while trying to read the instructions on a self-service till, then to change glasses over, pack up and move away.

I know a lot of people feel this way and will soon not bother going in, but will take their custom elsewhere.
