Regarding the nostalgic pictures of 1972 in The Star Friday 1st May, I was so surprised to see myself in one of them.

It was the one of t he ladies in Easter bonnets taken outside The Meadow Pub on Meadow Street, Sheffield.

I remember it vividly, a lovely surprise.

From left to right, the lady holding a drink, I’m sure was called Hannah White, next her is myself then unfortunately, I don’t remember the third lady’s name, but the fourth lady was Clara Conroy.

They were all friends of my mother, Helen Wilson who used to play the piano in The Meadow in the 1960s and 1970s.

I don’t know if any of these ladies are still with us, but what lovely sing-songs we used to have in the pub, which sadly, is no longer there.
