Letter: 'What a mess' - why A-Level algorithm has left me stumped
This Star reader says he has been left completely bemused by the shambles surrounding how this year’s A-Level grades were decided by a controversial algorithm.

In view of the fact that the calculation of our teenage generation’s future being decided by an algorithm I looked it up … no wiser.
I then asked several folk if they knew … no wiser.
I then asked a sporting friend the same question. “Well”, he said, “you’re a cricket fan, Jeremy, it’s like the Duckworth-Lewis method”.… no wiser.
But, it must be good as the future of thousands of young ones depends upon it!
What a mess.
