My great uncle, Frank Osborne died aged 22 on the HMS Barham which was torpedoed by a German U-boat in November 1941.

The sinking became infamous due to the last witchcraft trial in England of Helen Duncan.

I was wondering if any Star readers remember anything about the disaster?

I have tried to find out how many of the men were from Sheffield and have a few names so far but The National Archives are closed so my research has been limited.

I would love to hear from readers with information, [email protected]
