It’s the way forward
I refer to James Mitchinson, The Star Says, Monday, November 23. It is a well known fact that certain parts of our city are dangerously affected by high levels of pollution.
I remember some years ago when an article was published about high levels of pollution recorded on the Tinsley area, obviously brought about by having two levels of motorway, plus whatever was left of our depleted steel industry.
Further to this, was also added that the Broomhill area was also above the standards set by the EU. Whilst the SCC can tackle the problem city-wise, a start has already been made by some of the buses being used that have hybrid systems. In my own mind hybrid is the way forward (having experienced it).
