Flying objects and dodgy places to park on the M1

YOUR article on 'Flying objects' (August 14) was most impressive.

Yes, I have seen such an object – tell that to family and friends and see the wary look of ‘he’s a nutter.’

I find it a relief to know I am not the only nutter in the Yorkshire area.

I wouldn’t have noticed this object but for the fact that some driver of a juggernaut had parked on the hard shoulder of the M1 at junction 39, making it impossible to see if anything was approaching.

I wonder if the driver was an alien sitting there in a sister ship (disguised as a juggernaut) communicating with his mother vessel?

On getting on to the M1 I noticed the object this driver must have been looking at – a very large cloudy-type of thing spinning in the sky above (something, no doubt, similar to the sighting as mentioned in August 2005 in Rotherham, except mine was some time in 1987).

On the journey down to junction 33 leading to Sheffield I kept having the occasional glance, if only to check I wasn’t imagining things.

On turning into my destination, Duke Street, I lost sight of the object until I reached my place of work.

I jumped from my van and looked up to where it would be, and sure enough it was still there.

I dashed into work to grab the nearest workmate to show him a UFO but when I went back to the door there it was – gone!
