Defending rights

Amnesty International members in Sheffield have long campaigned against human rights abuses in the 'War on Terror', while remaining firmly opposed to acts of terrorism.

Now we are launching a campaign to mobilise people who deplore terrorism, while a insisting that governments must not ride roughshod over our rights - the right not to be held in places like Guantnamo Bay, the right not to be tortured. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

The Unsubscribe campaign is uniting people in opposition to all human rights abuses in the ‘War on Terror’.

Through social networks like Bebo and Facebook, we are connecting activists across the country, linked to a hub at www.unsubscribe-me.org where they can get together and take action.

We’re asking people in Sheffield to join our Unsubscribe community and stand up for human rights.
