Fundraising: Every goal helps make the difference

In my role, I get to work with some incredible businesses across our region. I’m regularly in awe of teams, from companies big and small, who care deeply about giving back and supporting our hospital in any way they can.

On June 28, we’re hosting our annual Theo Cup event – a 5-a-side football tournament – which is an excellent way for businesses to come together and help make the difference for Sheffield Children’s.

It’s also an opportunity to step away from the day job and try something that helps build team spirit, teamwork and camaraderie. Whether you’re a seasoned five-a-side player or just in it for the fun, the day is designed to be inclusive, energetic and unforgettable.

What really makes Theo Cup special is the impact behind every kick of the ball.

By signing up, your business will be helping us fund the extras for Sheffield Children’s that make a big difference.

From arts and play to world-class equipment and pioneering research, you’ll be helping us to go beyond what’s expected, to deliver the very best in children’s healthcare.

Every year, we see businesses return for Theo Cup, not just because they enjoyed the competition, but because of the difference they know they’re making.

There’s something special about bringing colleagues together around a shared purpose and seeing that purpose come to life in such a tangible way.

On the day itself, there’s more than just football.

Barclays colleagues kindly support the event, helping to make the day run smoothly, and there’s plenty happening off the pitch too, from a BBQ, tombola and garden games, to fun football activities provided by Yard Ball.

Spectators are very welcome, so even if you’re not playing, you can still come along and be part of the atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a way to boost morale, connect with colleagues, and give back to an extraordinary local charity, I’d love to see your business on the pitch.
