HEAVY horse logging displays, pony rides, and a fancy dress pantomime animal steeplechease will close the summer season at Manor Lodge in Sheffield on Saturday.

Manor Lodge Autumn Open Day and Field to Feast festival will give visitors the chance to experience history through re-enactments, farming demonstrations and guided tours of the ruins and Turret House.

The free event will take place at Manor Lodge and Manor Oaks Farm from 11am to 4pm.

Sunday will also be the last chance to view the Tudor Sugarcraft exhibition, which showcases models of knights and other historical characters, made out of moulded sugar.
