SHEFFIELd families are being urged to don their wellies and get down to Endcliffe Park today - for a live broadcast of the BBC’S One Show.
The flagship show - featuring presenters Alex Jones and Matt Baker - has teamed up with BBC Learning for the action packed programme.
The event will give families the chance to take part in a number of interactive live peformances including a wildlife feature with TV naturalist Mark Dilger, a science event featuring the show’s inventor Marty Jopson and the chance to become part of the One Show choir - led by pop vocal coach Carrie Grant.
A spokeswoman for the show said: “ Although there’s been a bit of damp start which has delayed proceedings, the show is still going ahead and we are urging people to put their wellies on and come and join us.
“The site was a bit water logged but we’ve put plenty of straw down and it’s full steam ahead now.”
The live broadcast takes place between 7pm and 8pm tonight.
Executive producer Moray London said: “We are delighted that Sheffield has agreed to play host to our first ever One Show roadshow. It promises to be a fantastic event with something for every9one, culminating in the chance to be in the audience for the One Show as it broadcasts live on BBC.”
