One of Sheffield's oldest residents celebrates 103rd birthday
Evelyn Gregory has lived through two world wars, been a wife and a mother and worked as a nurse in mental health - and she's still enjoying life at 103-years-old!
Evelyn, who lives in Burnt Tree Croft care home in Netherthorpe, was born in Sheffield in 1913 and aged just 17 passed her nursing exams and was posted to a mental health institution in Huddersfield.
She later met and married George Gregory and they had a son, Malcolm. Evelyn celebrated her birthday with sisters Sylvia and Edna.
