One Direction star Louis Tomlinson could play Sheffield’s Jamie Vardy in a Hollywood film
Doncaster’s star singer, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson could be in the frame to play Sheffield-born Jamie Vardy in a film about the Premier League form striker’s rise to the top.
Screenwriter Adrian Butchart is apparently due to head to the UK for research about the Leicester City striker’s surge from Stocksbridge Park Steels to firing the Foxes to the Premier League summit.
And Mr Butchart revealed to the Daily Mail that One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, who this week became a father is one of three people in consideration should the film get off the ground, along with Zac Efron and Robert Pattinson.
He said: “One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson is also very much on our radar, he’s apparently a great footballer, he can act and he’s from South Yorkshire so the accent won’t be a problem for him.
Would you watch a film about Sheffield lad Jamie Vardy’s meteoric rise? And would you get Louis to play him? Let us know in the comments or tweet @Sheffieldstar
