Office closure as part of cuts

THE offices of Sheffield Council’s North East Community Assembly are closing today to save £2 million over the coming year.

Sheffield Council has decided to close the seven assemblies and axe support staff as part of £50million of budget cuts in 2013-14.

Hannah Isherwood, of the north east assembly team, said: “As from March 28, the North East Community Assembly Office in Firth Park Library will be closed.”
