OAP breaks leg in road collision

A PENSIONER was taken to hospital with a broken leg after being hit by a car in South Yorkshire.

The 74-year-old woman was injured on Muglet Lane, Maltby, Rotherham, as she crossed the road.

She was hit by an orange Daewoo, which was travelling along the lane from Hamilton Road towards Maltby High Street.

The woman was taken to hospital with a serious fracture to her right leg.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the collision at 4pm on Wednesday should call police on 101, quoting incident 687 of May 2.
