THE NSPCC is launching its annual walking challenge in partnership with Sheffield outdoor clothing firm Go Outdoors.
Hike Against Cruelty to Kids will take place on Saturday, July 6, and the charity is calling on people in Sheffield to take part.
There are two walks in Yorkshire, one a challenging 22 miles, the other a more family-friendly circular seven miles. The longer route, which starts off at The Moorlands Inn near Halifax, goes through some of the most stunning countryside in Calderdale taking in a 1,300 climb to the landmark Stoodley Pike in the Pennines. The seven-mile walk has been devised with families in mind, taking in views over the moorlands and valleys, for those wanting a less demanding route.
