I would like to comment on the article in the Star (Thursday, March 12) regarding the repairs service that Sheffield council homes tenants receive.
I thought the article was very negative also, as more than 95 per cent of tenants are quite happy with the repairs service they receive.
As for tenants spending hours on hold to the call centre, I don’t dispute this but this has only happened in the last 12 months since the council took the repairs call centre back “in house”.
The call centre is not Kier, but Sheffield City Council a fact that John Cawthorne should know as Secretary of his Tenants Association.
