Four parish councils in the area raised objections to the turbine near Greengate Road at Norton.

Norton Parish Council, Askern Town Council, Burghwallis Parish Council and Kirk Smeaton Parish Council objected.

There were 136 representations on the plan.

The turbine planned was going to be 80 metres high.
