“They’re up there challenging in the play-offs and that’s where we want to be. So it give us a chance to show what we can do.

“We’ve got a fully fit squad to select from and with the new players coming in, I’m excited by the attacking options we now have at the club.”

Kiwomya could hand debuts to Ashley Worsfield, who has joined on a month’s loan from Buxton, and the experienced Brian Cusworth, signed on dual registration from NCEL side Maltby Main.

“They’re both very good players with different styles that have played at a higher level and will complement the forwards we already have here,” said the Sheffield boss.

Kiwomya says it’s important they get the balance right between attack and defence: “Sometimes you have to win ugly” he said.

“I think we need to show a little more guile at times in games. We’re a team that likes to go forward at every opportunity and there is nothing wrong with that. But there has been games when we’ve gone chasing the win, instead of settling for a point, and ended up coming away with nothing. “

Kiwomya welcomes back Anton Foster and Shaq McKenzie who have recovered from injury and illness respectively.

Shaw Lane have lost only two out of 11 league outings on the road. It’s also the first league meeting between the teams since the Ducks won promotion to the Evo-Stik at the end of last season after winning the NCE League title.

They did meet early in the season, though, in a League Cup tie at Shaw Lane which saw Craig Elliott’s side triumph 4-1.

Stocksbridge Park Steels travel to play-off hopefuls Chasetown intent on bouncing back from Tuesday’s disappointing 3-2 home defeat against Gresley.

“We go there looking to put things right after Tuesday’s defeat which, by our standards, was poor,” said Steels boss Chris Hilton.

“What’s frustrating is we put out the same eleven that started and performed really well in the 2-1 win against Spalding 10 days earlier. Sometimes you just cant work out football.

“Chasetown are up there pushing for a play-off place, so it will be a tough game. But we know we are more than capable of coming away with the three points.”

The Staffordshire side occupy the last of the four play-off places and have been in good form of late with five wins and just one defeat in the last eight league outings.

Hilton will be boosted by the return of striker Scott Ruthven from injury.

In the Premier Division, Frickley Athletic face sixth-placed Darlington at Westfield Lane. The visitors are in something of a false position - they have four games in hand on the teams above, and winning them would put them comfortably in a play-off place.

Manager Karl Rose has Jameel Ible and Luke Hinsley back after suspension, while recent new signing Louis Horne is expected to be in the squad as the Blues chase what would be only a second win in eight.
