A Sheffield Council tenant who played excessively loud music has been warned he will be kicked out of his property if he steps out of line.

Charles Thurnham, aged 56, of Stones Inge, High Green, Sheffield, also threatened a neighbour and abused a housing officer, Sheffield County Court heard.

He accepted he had breached the conditions of his tenancy and was ordered to give up possession of the property.

But a judge suspended the order and said that, if he behaved for the next 18 months, he could stay.

Coun Harry Harpham, the council’s cabinet member for Homes said: “Mr Thurnham has been given a second chance to amend his ways.

“If he breaches his conditions again we will ask the bailiffs to evict him.”
