No decision on Hillsborough micro pub application

Plans to convert a Hillsborough shop into a micro pub was not considered as expected by a council planning meeting this week.

A Sheffield City Council planning document revealed an application for the site on Middleton Road in the Hillborough Park Shopping Centre, close to the Sheffield Wednesday ground.

“It is proposed that the intimate premises will primarily sell bottled beers and will not play music,” the planning report states.

The proposal was recommended for approval but was withdrawn from the list at a meeting of the council’s planning and highways committee this week. It is anticipated that the application will now be considered at a later date.
