No charges for ex-Rovers star

FORMER Doncaster Rovers star El-Hadji Diouf will not face charges over a nightclub brawl.

The 31-year-old was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder following a fight at the Circle Club in Manchester city centre in the early hours of April 15.

Premier League defender Anton Ferdinand, 27, was also questioned under caution by police about the incident and was released without charge,

Diouf was among six men arrested by officers investigating the matter which left a 33-year-old man needing hospital treatment for head and neck injuries. Three men have been charged in connection with the fight, police said.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Three men have been charged after a disturbance in a nightclub in Manchester city centre.”

All three men will appear before Manchester magistrates on August 16.
