Nine arrested over disorder before Doncaster Rovers game

Nine people have been arrested in relation to disorder by a pub before a Doncaster Rovers match in August.

The disturbance close to the Tut ‘n’ Shive public house on Laith Gate led to a man in his 40s suffering a head injury that required hospital treatment.

The incident happened at around 1.15pm on Saturday, August 8, before Rovers were due to play Bury at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Nine arrests were made this morning across Doncaster and four people have now been charged.

Four teenagers have been bailed and one man is still in police custody.

Adam Brown, 20, of Church View, Wadworth, Connor Mulligan, 19, of Chestnut Avenue, Armthorpe, Adam Lowe, 21, of Buckingham Road, Conisbrough and a 17-year-old from Nottingham, have all been charged with section 4 public order offences and have been bailed to appear at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 9 October.

Two 16-year-old boys and two 17-year-olds boy, all from Doncaster and who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been referred to the Youth Offending Service for conditional cautions to be considered for their involvement.

A 51-year-old man is still in police custody being questioned by officers.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 598 of 8 August, 2015.
