Nick Clegg to feature in new TV documentary

Sheffield Hallam MP Nick Clegg is to appear in a one-off television documentary tomorrow.

MPs Behind Closed Doors is being shown on Channel 5 at 9pm on Monday.

With unique and exclusive access, the programme fixes cameras in the surgeries of three high profile MPs including Nick Clegg’s constituency office in Fulwood.

The documentary also features outspoken Labour MP Naz Shah in Bradford West, Brexit-supporting Tory MP for North East Somerset Jacob Rees-Mogg.

A spokesman for the show said: “The programme shows all three MPs tackling the problems of ordinary Britons, some of whom have nowhere left to turn. Putting a human face on the big issues facing the nation: from immigration to disability funding and from mental health provision to noisy neighbours.

“The programme shows the human side to MPs in the thick of it, far from the robot automaton answers we’re familiar with hearing on politics shows.”
