Nick Clegg admits he feels bad over tuition fees on Channel 4’s The Last Leg show

Deputy Prime Minister and Sheffield Hallam MP Nick Clegg has admitted he feels bad about the Lib Dem u-turn over tuition fees but said he won’t lose his seat in the upcoming elections.

Mr Clegg appeared on Channel 4’s The Last Leg show tonight, a live comedy show which discusses current affairs.

Co-host Alex Brooker interviewed the Lib Deam party leader live.

Mr Brooker asked: “On a scale of 1-10, how bad do you feel about tuition fees?”

Mr Clegg replied: “I’m not Prime Minister. I can’t do everything I want.” He then added “Nine and a half.”

He was then asked “How many times in the last five years have you wanted to give (Prime Minister) David Cameron a slap?”

“A few times,” said Mr Clegg.

Mr Brooker then asked: “If you do lose your seat...”

“I won’t,” interjected Mr Clegg, who then said: “Watch more Arsenal games.”

The show is repeated on Channel 4+1 and on Channel 4 On Demand.
