Newsagent's closing down

Is anyone bothered that I and many more elderly ill people will no longer be able to have a Star to read?

We will no longer be able to keep up with the local news, why?

Because our local newsagent delivered their last newspapers on Saturday, February 13 and closes completely on February 27.

I have received phone calls saying it is disgusting that this shop has been forced to close, plus the butcher, fruit shop.

Our Post Office closed years ago along with our bank. You may say “There are other newsagents”, so there are, but I and many people I know are, due to health problems, unable to get to them, our papers were delivered.

Supermarkets have a lot to answer for. We elderly people want continuity not change.

We don’t want sympathy, we want support.
