A COACH parked outside The Outpost pub on Sheffield Road, Barnsley, was set alight deliberately at 5.20am on Monday.

Arsonists were also responsible for destroying a VW Golf on Verdon Street, Burngreave, at 11.30pm on Monday, a Mercedes A160 on Mawfa Avenue, Gleadless Valley, at 2.45am on Tuesday, and a motorbike dumped in a field off Bankwood Close, Arbourthorne, Sheffield, and set alight at 3.30pm on Tuesday.

Vehicle stolen

A CAR found dumped in the pond in Graves Park, Sheffield, on Easter Friday - and pictured, submerged, in The Star - had been stolen from Ormond Road, Jordanthorpe, police have revealed. Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Skip set alight

A SKIP found burning on Chapel Street, Woodhouse, Sheffield, at 6.50pm on Sunday had been set alight deliberately - as had a pile of rubbish in the foyer of a block of flats in Rufford Avenue, Athersley North, Barnsley, on Sunday.
