SIX new buses with free Wi-Fi internet access are set to be launched by Stagecoach as part of a £1.1 million investment.

The fleet of double deckers are being introduced on route 43, from Sheffield to Chesterfield via Dronfield, with buses every 30 minutes.

Rupert Cox, Stagecoach Yorkshire commercial director, said: “The number 43 continues to be one of our most popular routes with passenger journeys having doubled since we last improved the frequency and introduced new buses onto this route in 2008.”

Estate inspection

AN ESTATE inspection is to be held in Cudworth, for councillors and housing officials to find out about residents’ concerns. Councillors Steve Houghton, Charlie Wraith and Joe Hayward will be on the streets on Friday.
