News In Brief: Robber snatches teen’s cameras in Chesterfield

A TEENAGER was punched and had cameras stolen by a thug.

The 19-year-old was on Cutthorpe Road in Chesterfield when a car with three men pulled up next to him at 1.30am on September 5.

One got out of the car and punched him. The lad dropped his bag and the offender picked it up, got back in the car and drove off.

The bag contained a number of items of equipment including two Canon cameras, lenses, and a tripod.

Inquiry into arson attack at store

A POLICE probe is under way into an arson attack at Dubai Mart, Infirmary Road, Sheffield.

The fire broke out at 10.20pm on Monday and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.

Thieves steal car

A CAR was stolen from Cartmell Road, Woodseats, Sheffield.

Police said the keys were stolen from the house the vehicle was parked outside overnight on Sunday last week.

Garages raided

TWO garages on Hemsworth Road, Norton, Sheffield, were broken into.

Anyone with information about the burglaries on Monday afternoon last week is asked to call police on 101.

House burgled

POLICE are investigating a break-in at a house on Neill Road, Hunters Bar, Sheffield.

The door to the house was left unlocked last Monday night.
