A NEW junior football team is looking for young players to join.

Treeton Terriers Junior FC’s Under 6s team trains on Washfield Lane, Treeton, at 5.15pm every Friday.

The team is looking for new players who are in Year 1 at primary school and turn six during this academic year. The team has five FA qualified coaches.

Ace backs hospice

ROTHERHAM United star Ryan Cresswell is only 24 - but he already knows it’s never too soon to start thinking about the future. That’s why he’s supporting St Luke’s Hospice by taking part in the charity’s Will Month. The scheme allows people to make a will for as little as a minimum suggested donation of £50, all of which goes to Sheffield’s only hospice.

School boot sale

Kelford School in Rotherham hold a car boot sale this Saturday on Oakdale Road, Kimberworth. Sellers pay £5 per car and keep any profit. Entry for buyers is free. Doors open at 8am for sellers and 9am for the public. Booking is essential as spaces are limited to 60 cars. Call 01709 512 088.

GRENOSIDE and District Local History Group holds its biennial Local History Exhibition on May 12 and 13, from 10am to 4pm at Grenoside Community Centre, Main Street, Grenoside. Photographs and local history displays will cover the district and visitors can browse the archive.
