PEOPLE with hearing difficulties are invited to a free English class in South Yorkshire.

Rotherham Deaf Futures is running the class on Wednesdays, between 3pm and 5pm, starting on October 31 for eight weeks, at My Place Centre, Rotherham. Email to book.

Repair the stones

Stepping stones carrying a public footpath across the River Don have become dangerous after being dislodged by flood water. Thurgoland Parish Council has asked Barnsley Council to restore the stones at Old Mill and New Mill after a walker fell trying to cross the river.
