Car taken in row and bike stolen

A MAN aged 21 had his car taken from him in Ritzroy Road, Heeley, Sheffield, following a dispute with somebody he knows, police said.

Officers are also searching for a motorbike stolen from Crescent Road, Sharrow, Sheffield, on Thursday night. Anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Remembering dog

A FAMILY day is being planned in Rotherham to mark the memory of dog Issak tortured and killed in Sheffield.

The event is to take place at Dinnington Rugby Club, Lodge Lane, on July 7 from 12noon. More details will be announced nearer the time.

Car keys stolen

A POLICE probe is under way into the theft of a car from Nether Edge Road, Nether Edge, Sheffield, overnight on Thursday last week. The keys were stolen from the house it was parked outside, after a window was left open.

Fun day postponed

A FAMILY fun day which was due to have taken place at Worsbrough Mill, Barnsley, over the Easter weekend was postponed because of the weather. Activities will be rescheduled for the weekend of May 25 and 26.

Bungalow rescue

A RESIDENT had to be rescued from a bungalow fire on Claylands Road, Whitwell, near Chesterfield, and taken to hospital. Crews from Clowne and Staveley put out the fire at 11pm on Saturday.

Cannabis discovery

A WOMAN has been arrested by police over the discovery of a cannabis factory in a house on Totley Brook Road, Totley, Sheffield. Officers found plants worth £10,000 during a raid.

Schools go green

THIRTY schools in Sheffield proved their eco-credentials in an awareness week. Carter Knowle Junior School pupils were among those who learned about recycling.

Bin found ablaze

A STREET bin was found on fire on Sheffield Road, Chesterfield, at 8pm on Saturday. It is not known if the fire was started deliberately.

Car set alight

A CAR was found burning on Station New Road, Old Tupton, Chesterfield, at 11pm on Saturday.
