A £60,000 project to create a wildflower corridor on a stretch of land in Sheffield will soon be blooming, organisers have said.

The scheme, which is being run by Sheffield Landscape Trust, will establish the green space along the Waterthorpe and Ochre Dyke.

The 18-month project will involve laying new paths between Thorpe Green and Beighton High Street, installing bridges, fencing, seats, birdboxes and signs, laying hedgerows, planting trees and shrubs, cultivating land, planting native wildflowers, and digging a pond.
