Innovative waste ideas can earn people in Derbyshire a grant of up to £25,000.

Derbyshire Council is offering the money for projects which help cut waste. To qualify for the grant, ideas have to be unique.

Coun Dean Collins, said: “Derbyshire is a hive of innovation and we want to focus some of that original thinking to look for new ways of helping reduce waste. Sending waste to landfill costs the council £19 million a year which could be better spent on other services.”
