New shops and offices in Sheffield given go-ahead

Proposals to knock down a former furniture shop and put up a building with new shops and offices have been given the green light by planning committee members.

Under the plans, Saxon House on Broadfield Road will be demolished to make way for a three-storey building providing three retail spaces and small office units, along with meeting rooms and car parking.

The existing single-storey building was previously used by The Furniture Company.
